STRAIGHT THROUGH OR ANGLED VIEWING?

Straight

  • Easier to find your subject in view
  • Cheaper than the equivalent 45° model
  • Easier to use when sitting down in hides

Angled

  • Easier to follow birds moving
  • Often avoids straining the neck
  • Easier to watch birds in the tops of trees
  • Easier to use if you are tall
  • Tripod not so high and therefore more stable
