USING YOUR TELESCOPE

Whenever possible use a tripod or other support.

When sitting or kneeling a tripod can also be used only partially extended. This is especially useful in strong winds or to keep a low profile in wide open spaces.

Learn to use either eye as the ability will reduce eyestrain over long periods.

Using the telescope like a rifle barrel will help to line up the bird you are trying to see. Some scopes have a sight line as an aid.
