Some Questions & Answers

Before booking a course you may have some questions.
These are the ones most frequently asked. If we have missed something important to you please feel free to
contact us.

Can a Wildlife Photography course be booked as a gift?

Yes and we will provide you with a gift certificate to the value of the booking.

How do I book a course?

Please e-mail us at info@wildlink.org or call 01626 872310.

What happens if bad weather is forecast?

Church Farm is located in a sheltered valley adjacent to one of the driest and sunniest places in Devon. Only if the forecast is very bad will the course be re-schedule. In any case we advise bringing a light waterproof jacket and there is plenty of shelter available. More importantly we always suggest carrying sunscreen lotion and a hat in summer.

Is power available to charge camera batteries?

Yes, we have facilities for charging batteries but please bring the unit suitable for your own camera batteries.

Will you try to sell me lots of gear?

No, this is not a sales opportunity although I am happy to recommend places and products I use myself.

Can I use a film camera?

Yes because the course and tuition is applicable to film and digital camera users.

Can I still get good pictures using a non SLR camera.

Yes but photo opportunities may be more limited with non-SLR cameras.

Will I need lots of expensive equipment?

No. However a list of recommended kit is provided with the Course Information Pack.

Do you provide tuition?

Yes. All my courses are tuition led, concentrating on photographic techniques, getting the best out of your equipment and understanding field craft. In any case I will be available all day to answer questions!

If I am new to photography can I still join one of your courses?

Yes. All of our wildlife photography courses are suitable for beginners, providing quality tuition to help you get to know your camera, as well as many top tips for photographing wildlife.

If I am an experienced photographer will I find the courses too basic?

No. Because the group size is limited, there is always plenty of time for one-to-one advice.

What if I am vegetarian or have a food allergy?
We always offer a wide choice at meal times with plenty of options for vegetarians and will clearly mark any food that may cause you an allergic reaction.

Your farm looks and sounds idyllic. Are you difficult to find?
We are easy find, just a ten minutes drive from the A380 dual carriageway yet in the heart of quiet countryside. Full directions will be sent to you before the course starts.
